The following questions and answers are from when the service was running. Covi is no longer maintained; for duty records and dormitory rules, the information from the university’s dormitory services office takes precedence.
Who can use Covi?
Only New Southbound international students at a university in southern Taiwan. It isn’t a service for the general public.
Which platforms does Covi offer?
The website, the LINE official account, the iPhone/iPad/Mac app (CnuCOVI), and the Windows version. An Android version was in development but was never released. For a comparison of the platforms, see Overview.
I’ve already performed my duty. Why doesn’t it show under “Cleared” yet?
After duty service is performed in each department, the department assistant (or faculty) has to report it before it appears under “Cleared” in the lookup results.
If a duty isn’t completed, when does it become a formal reprimand?
According to the guidance at the time, a duty from one month that isn’t completed by the end of the following month becomes a formal reprimand. The university’s official announcements take precedence.
How do I contact the dormitory services office?
Call the university’s dormitory services office.
What if the data I find is wrong?
Contact your department assistant or faculty.
Can’t find any data on the website?
Letters in your student ID must be half-width uppercase. Results take about 10–30 seconds to appear after you submit, so please be patient.
App lookup results not updating?
The app saves lookup results on your device, so if you search for the same keyword again on the same day, the saved results are shown. They’re cleared automatically the first time you open the app each day. To get the latest data right away, first use 「清除快取」 (Clear cache) in the sidebar, then search again.
Can’t search in the app?
A keyword must be at least 2 characters long; with fewer characters, the search can’t be submitted.
Where can I send suggestions and feedback?
While the service was running, suggestions and feedback were collected on the discussion board of the TedSky forum. Covi is no longer maintained, and feature suggestions are no longer handled.
