Version history
CnuCOVI app versions are compiled from the App Store version history (Internet Archive copy from 2024-12-27). The App Store notes for 1.3 list some features that aren’t in the source code; this page lists only items confirmed to exist in the 1.3 source code. Covi is no longer maintained, and the app has been removed from the App Store.

Supports nine interface languages, brings settings together in a sidebar, and now saves lookup results on the device.
New features and improvements
Interface languages
- Supports Traditional Chinese (Taiwan), Traditional Chinese (Hong Kong), Simplified Chinese, English, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Thai, and Vietnamese.
- Switch the interface language in the sidebar without restarting the app.
Sidebar
- A new sidebar brings settings together in one place; open and close it with a swipe gesture or a button.
- Switch dark mode in the sidebar; the setting is saved and used the next time you open the app.
- Added font size adjustment.
Cache and search history
- Lookup results are saved on the device, so searching for the same keyword again doesn’t require reconnecting; they’re cleared automatically the first time you open the app each day.
- Search history keeps the latest 20 entries and can be cleared all at once.
Lookup results
- Multiple results are now shown page by page, and a loading message appears while waiting for data.
Push notifications (iPhone, iPad)
- Added push notifications through Firebase Cloud Messaging.
- The App Store notes for 1.3 also list items such as iCloud sync, offline mode, power saving mode, automatic update checks, and in-app feedback. These features aren’t in the 1.3 source code, so they aren’t listed here.
