CarPlay

FleetDispatch supports CarPlay (in the Apple-approved Driving Task category). In the car, you can:

• See trips in progress
• Dispatch quickly from frequently used vehicles
• Check to-dos
• Hand frequent places to a maps app for navigation

Design principles

• Uses only Apple’s CarPlay system templates.
• Every action takes two steps at most, with no typing needed.
• No charts or long text.

For safety, you can’t type in the car. For the return, enter the end odometer and costs on iPhone after you park (see Dispatch and return).

CarPlay requires iPhone. The Android version doesn’t have CarPlay; during a trip, you can use the ongoing trip notification in the notification bar instead (see Widgets and Live Activities).
