Reminder Center and notifications
Get reminders before vehicle inspections, insurance, driver’s licenses, and maintenance come due, plus alerts for overdue returns and fuel efficiency anomalies.
Set up due-date reminders
- Enter due dates in vehicle and driver details.
- In Reminder Settings under Settings, choose which items to be reminded about and how many days in advance to be notified. In multi-user setups, an admin sets these, and they apply to the whole fleet.
- The Due Dates, Overdue Returns, and Fuel Anomalies cards on the dashboard list the items that need attention.
Reminder Center
The Reminder Center lists the following in one place:
- Due dates for vehicle inspections, compulsory insurance, optional insurance, driver’s licenses, and maintenance
- Overdue returns, trip requests pending approval, and fuel efficiency anomalies
Items are grouped by urgency into Priority, Upcoming, and For Reference, and every status includes text (for example, “5 days left” or “3 days overdue”). You can also filter items by category. You can snooze an item until tomorrow, for 3 days, or until next Monday; snoozing affects only this device. Once the underlying issue is resolved (for example, when the maintenance is done), the item disappears automatically.
Notifications and sounds
In Notifications & Sounds under Settings, you can choose on each device whether to receive notifications and whether to play sounds. You can set receiving and the sound separately for each of these 5 notification types, and preview the sounds:
Type
---
Trip Requests & Approvals
Due Dates
Maintenance
Usage & Energy
Monthly Report
FleetDispatch includes its own sound, Fleet Pulse. You can also choose System Default or Silent.
Notifications on Android
- On Android 13 and later, you need to allow FleetDispatch to send notifications to get reminders and the ongoing trip notification. The system asks the first time, and you can change this later in system settings.
- In Android’s system settings, each notification type has one channel for each sound. Just change the sound in Notifications & Sounds in the app; there’s no need to adjust the channels separately.
- There are also two channels that never play a sound: Active Trips and Background Service (used while recording a route or acting as the local network host).
